Nestled amidst one of Colts Neck’s most quintessential private equestrian facilities, Stillwell Stables, horses and riders come together to hone their skills, create unforgettable memories, at strike gold. Whether you're a seasoned equestrian, first-time rider, or a rider with special needs, we pride ourselves on creating a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
Owner and Trainer Lauren Loshiavo puts a special focus on cultivating a strong community of supportive, passionate, and inclusive riders and boarders. Our services range from boarding and training, to hunter/jumper horseback riding lessons, as well as therapeutic riding lessons for riders with disabilities.

Our Facility
Our home at Stillwell Stables offers a large main barn with wide isles, a large outdoor arena with a jump course, a large heated indoor riding arena with additional stalls and ample turn out. Owner of Striking Gold Stables, Lauren Loshiavo lives on property and she and the SGS staff provide top notch care for our horses.

Lessons & Training
Our hybrid riding program can fulfill your needs whether you're looking to be competitive on the local show jumping circuit, are riding just for fun, or are looking to achieve therapeutic goals. We have a wide range of clients and teach all levels from beginner to advanced riders. Our lesson horses and ponies are suited for all levels, ages, and abilities.
Coming soon in 2023 is our IEA team which will give kids and teens the opportunity to affordably show throughout the fall and winter in a unique and supportive team setting.

Meet the Trainer
Lauren Loshiavo
Colts Neck has long been known for its boarding farms and training facilities. After years as a professional trainer, coaching IHSA, and managing multiple successful show barns, I started Striking Gold Stables to fill the gap of competitive show barns and a welcoming community for casual riders. Our well-rounded program leads with the mission of ensuring all of our riders feel supported on their individual riding journeys. As a PATH International Therapeutc Riding Instructor, our facilities operates as a hybrid program for both able-bodied riders and riders with disabilities.

Striking Gold Stables proudly presents our IEA team, not just as a competitive unit but as a close-knit barn community dedicated to uplifting and empowering high school riders. IEA transcends conventional team competition, it’s a collaborative journey where participants create lifelong memories, boost confidence in and out of the show ring, and potentially gallop toward earning a college riding scholarship.
With team practices hosted at our barn and a unique rotating hosting system for horse shows, our IEA riders enjoy the opportunity to ride and compete on different horses at each hosting facility—no personal horse needed! This format not only champions inclusivity but also hones adaptability among our students in an engaging, secure, and constructive environment.
