We are proud to offer an IEA team at Striking Gold Stables to not only help our middle school and high school riders improve their skills but to cultivate a barn community that works as a team to encourage, uplift, and support each other. IEA isn’t just about competing on a team; it’s about creating timeless memories, advancing your confidence in and out of the show ring, and even working towards a college riding scholarship.
IEA team practices are hosted at our barn. Participating IEA teams rotate horse show hosting, which means all IEA competitors ride and compete on the horses at the hosting facility. This greatly benefits our students, as you don’t have to have your own horse to compete on the team. It also teaches our students to adapt to new horses and new surroundings in a safe and productive environment.
Striking Gold specializes in teaching lessons for the hunter/jumper and equitation disciplines. Riders may request that horses are tacked up for them or they may come early to groom and tack up under the supervision of our staff. Currently we have 6 wonderful lesson horses and ponies ranging from beginner to intermediate in our growing program.
Our home at Stillwell Stables offers a large main barn with wide isles, a large outdoor arena with a jump course, a large heated indoor riding arena with additional stalls and ample turn out. Owner of Striking Gold Stables, Lauren Loshiavo lives on property and she and the SGS staff provide top notch care for our horses.
